11.30am - Arrive at Carrick-a-Rede

Unlike other tour providers, we go direct to Carrick-a-Rede, getting there before the crowds, where you will be able to view OR cross (OPTIONAL EXTRA) the rope bridge. Please note: This involves quite a walk from the coach park (approx 15min) so suitable footwear is recommended.  Unfortunately due to the uneven path it is not recommended for anyone with poor mobility and has no wheelchair access. Also on days with poor weather it may be closed to the public due to high winds or heavy rain.

Atlantic salmon has been fished at Carrick-a-Rede and Larrybane since 1620. But it was not until 1755 that the first rope bridge between the mainland and Carrick-a-Rede Island was erected to reduce reliance on a boat to reach the island.

This is also the location of the old quarry of Larrybane which was featured in HBO’s Series Game of Thrones throughout season two as it was used for Renly Baratheon’s camp.

1.00pm - Depart Carrick-a-Rede

1.15pm - Arrive at Giants Causeway

Again, unlike other tour operators, we are going direct from Carrick-a-Rede to the Giants Causeway, getting there before the crowds, and only we give you the most time to enjoy the causeway.  You have 3 hours to explore.  This will give you ample time to take the ultimate selfie & get lunch.

It is free to visit the stones at the Giant's Causeway and to visit Carrick-a-Rede Ropebridge, however, a National Trust fee applies for anyone who wants to cross the Ropebridge, or to enter the Visitor Centre at the Giant's Causeway.  If you do wish to enter the visitor centre just let the driver know on the morning when boarding the coach when we can let you avail of a discounted group entry price.  Again suitable clothing & footwear is recommended as it is quite a walk from the coach drop off point to the stones.  There is a shuttle bus that runs each way for about £1 each way for those who wish to use it.

The Giants Causeway was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO in 1986 and a national nature reserve in 1987 by the Department of the Environment for Northern Ireland. In a 2005 poll of Radio Times readers, the Giant's Causeway was named as the fourth greatest natural wonder in the United Kingdom.  The tops of the columns form stepping stones that lead from the cliff foot and disappear under the sea. Most of the columns are hexagonal, although there are also some with four, five, seven or eight sides. The tallest are about 12 metres (39 ft) high, and the solidified lava in the cliffs is 28 metres (92 ft) thick in places.

3.15pm - Depart Giants Causeway

3.30pm - 10 minute photo stop @ Dunluce Castle

Here we take a short photo stop at Dunluce Castle.  This castle was used for an establishing shot of Harrenhal in season 3 of Game of Thrones.

3.45pm - Depart Dunluce Castle

4pm - Arrive at Bushmills Distillery

In the small village of Bushmills, settled on the banks of the river you'll find the oldest working distillery in Ireland. A place where family and friends have worked for generations.  This small Northern Irish village that for over 400 years has kept to the philosophy that hand crafting small batches is the way to produce beautifully smooth tasting Irish whiskey.

Here we get the opportunity to view the old Bushmills Distillery, take photos & buy souvenirs in the shop which is free to enter.  If however you wish to take the guided tour where you get a free sample at the end, once again let us know on the morning of boarding & we will book it for you as we can get a highly discounted group booking rate!

5.15pm - Depart Bushmills Distillery

5.40pm - Arrive Dark Hedges - 20 minute photo stop 

This is our last stop of the day.  Here we give you the chance to walk The Kings Road!  The Dark Hedges, which have long been one of the most photographed attractions in Northern Ireland, were propelled to even greater fame by HBO's cult television series, Game of Thrones. The trees represented the King's Road in the first episode of the second season, as Arya Stark, who had escaped from King's Landing disguised as a boy, travelled through the Hedges with other characters to join the Night's Watch.  Ever since, the Dark Hedges have proved to be a magnet for followers of the series from around the world.

6.00pm - Depart Dark Hedges

Arrive in Dublin

Here is where we say our good byes, back to Dublin in plenty of time for dinner, get freshened up & hit the town!
